@kensanata @freakazoid For me it's the 90% rule. Emacs does 90% of what I need, but for that silly 10% of what it doesn't, I like having a proper wm or desktop for. (And as long as I have the luxury to maintain bias toward the 10%, i figure it's harmless to do so. )

That said, i haven't actually tried EXWM so maybe I'll convert once I do....
