brennenwithout replying to anyone in particular, i observe that while i don't want to prescribe behavior around this, i insta-mute almost every account i come across that's obviously cross-posting from twitter. and this has so reliably improved the local signal for me that i'd probably check an "ignore all traffic except for direct messages / replies from accounts which automatically cross-post" button.
