brennen@polymerwitch it's a fair question, but i'm not entirely sure i'm ready to grant the premise. the collective imagination seems utterly saturated with dystopia to the point of cliche in a way that it hasn't since i was a little kid in the cold war era growing up with the background assumption that we stood a fair chance of being annihilated in a nuclear cataclysm at any given moment.
