woken in the night by a screaming hedgehog. I had no idea they did that- friend of mine was saying how he rescued a baby making the most disturbing wails the other night. Apparently if couldn't quite roll up in a ball and they make a VERY loud mwaaaaahhhhh shriek that sounds not entirely unlike a young human baby. I was up with a cold sweat when I heard it and at 1am was not going trampling through the undergrowth next to the field to find it. Hope it got to sleep. #smallstories
