    Wow. That’s one third of our tiny remaining carbon budget.
    We might just have lost 3 out of 9 years of current emission rate.

      The UK’s Met Office recently released “HadSST4”, the largest update since 2011 to its widely used sea surface temperature (SST) record. The new version provides more accurate estimates of SSTs in the period during and after the second world war, as well as over the past decade. It suggests that the world’s oceans have warmed by around 0.1C more than previously thought since pre-industrial times.
