What I remembered looking through this: Weird Al signed an absurdly long contract with a record company. I think it may have been for 35 years? I forget the specifics but I think they couldn't terminate the contract as long as his album sales were good, so, they assumed, because he was a novelty musician, that they'd be able to jettison him after an album or two. But he wound up fulfilling the entire contract. He just got out of it in the last couple of years.
