In my experience, any group or community or collection of humans breaks down ~ thusly:

5-10% positive contributers - people who make tangible contributions, invest in & lift up and encourage/inspire others

80-90% average joes - people mostly along for the ride, maybe make small contributions or minor support, but not heavily invested (emotionally or resources)

5-10% negative contributors - people who contribute negativity and drama; if there's a spark in a dumpster they show up with petrol
