I'm using airsonic, which iirc is a fork of subsonic. highly recommend both, funkwhale recently implemented their api too
works great with dsub on android over network. depending on the size of your library it does get a lil slow tho

i tried mpd before but it was v finicky over network (nothing looks as cool as ncmpcpp + mpd on linux though imo)
