I've always loved perf. You know, that metal full of holes that used to be mounted as screens over old power supplies. I like hexagonal perf(honeycomb) even more.
Today, while I ate my lunch at my desk, I hacked an OpenSCAD perf module that lets you spec the number of columns and rows, the gap between holes, the size of the holes, the heigth of the cylinders and the number of faces on the cylinders that you Boolean out to create the perf. It was quite enjoyable.
