Someone correct me if I'm wrong, because I haven't looked at that much of the actual data so this is only vaguely remembered,

but Pikachu usually says "pika" or "pika pika!",
and only goes "piiiikkaaaaCHU!" if they're, like, stressed or aggressive or needs to be defensive or in some hightened emotional state,
right?

... so what does that mean about the empathy/sensitivity/not-disturbing-creatures/field-research-skills -ness of the researcher who discovered and named them?
