Books that are from Public Domain sources like Project Gutenberg don't suddenly get remotely deleted like books with DRM

Or like the entire library of Microsoft books that will just "stop working" because of some business decision

And if copyright terms were shorter, a lot more books would survive until they entered the Public Domain, got digitized and were safe
