evilchiliAnnihilation was pretty alright as a #film; in particular the sound design and soundtrack were great. pacing was a little problematic tho, and I think it might actually have worked better if the film started inside the shimmer and slowly filled in context as tension rose. the bookends made it hard to keep the tension, and the debriefing undercut it every time. Time would have been better spent exploring the ensemble's backstories.
