    for me it's just simply that I prefer the OG workflow. releases aren't worth it to me. I'd have to build my own anyway since I have a few customizations and run on ppc64le.

    for many I'm sure the releases are useful but it's not for everyone and we're not going to deprecate running without them and we shouldn't consider it.
