it depends on environment. pleroma.site blocks gab. it will be continuing to block gab.
juche.town intentionally federates with them. the purpose of juche.town is to be a honeypot, so we may observe as much of gab as possible. we have collected our data, and the instance will probably close soon (or maybe i will give it to somebody if they actually want it)

also, your understandiing of the activitypub social graph is ... misunderstood.
if A federates with B and B federates with C, this actually does not matter. posts don't flow from A to C just because they both federate with B. that requires a transient activity such as boosting.
the juche.town environment has been modified to not send boosts to gab (and also to ignore deletes from gab). thusly, juche.town operates as a duck blind: it can interact directly with gab, but it will not allow posts from it's non-gab peers to flow to gab. similarly, juche.town posts that are replies to non-gab posts don't flow to gab.
