"Neat! But wow, it's heavy. What's the TONE dial for?"
"Don't-"
She adjusted it upward. The device fell from her hands and landed on the concrete.
"Shit, sorry-"
She tried to pick it up, but it wouldn't budge.
"Don't adjust it upward!" he said. "Just slide the dial toward the low values."
She did. "Hey, I can pick it up now. It's at... 0.0004?"
"Just hand it back."
"All right, but I don't see what I did wrong."
She hadn't noticed the extra N.
