as someone who faces end users
on a daily basis

i find it easier to treat their computer
like a pet
as that is pretty damn close
to their relationship
with it

for them it's a service animal
that allows them to make it through
the work day

besides
referring to the inner workings
of silicon, wire, and glass
devices
that allows one to do so many things
at a distance
with few to no moving parts
as anything less than magical
is to remove
wonder from life
