@VyrCossont I'm afraid not - I've never actually made custard myself. ^_^; (Seen it prepared on MasterChef plenty of times, though =:)

Ah, to have a real kitchen again, with *space* to indulge in such reckless extravagances as rolling out dough, or having each of many elements all at hand for maki. And I'd love to try making my own pasta sometime.. the fresh stuff at Molinari's is *so* different to the stuff in supermarkets - tasty just by itself!
