            Okay, here goes some quite good news about it.
            
            TL;DR: They actually accept annonymous/pseudonymous contributions but you just don't directly have commit access. And it quite looks like they forgot to address the decisions in the GLEP document, which is something I pointed to in my reply ( https://archives.gentoo.org/gentoo-project/message/b5a0065f8dddcb7534682b6e06c7839b ).

               Which means I should probably look at how names are put in passports (which I might need to renew anyway but urgh I would prefer to change the gender on it before that).
               But I'm pretty sure my nickname might not work in it even if it's one AFK people have been using from time to time.
