"shit that fucking sucks" is 8000x more helpful for a struggling person to hear than "it will get better" "have you tried this?" "you're totally in the right!" etc

farm goth (myconidiosyncracy@awoo.church)'s status on Monday, 29-Jul-2019 16:31:25 EDT farm goth we tend to forget this, i think, as we heal from our own personal struggles. i know i'm guilty of it a bunch, cause it usually comes from a place of care. it feels right and good to offer advise or at least be reassuring. but the thing is, mentally ill people fucking *know* the advise already, it's just added pressure to heal better and faster. and as far as assurances go like? actually sometimes shit is just Not fucking okay, and that's fine. it should be acknowledged not dismissed
