ethical consumption feels weirdly like a hostage situation.

“fork it over!” the profiteer demands, “or the planet gets it!” hoo boy 😰

like we could just end hunger but instead companies jack prices to protect profits even as climate change diminishes crop yields and further exacerbates hunger. then they have the nerve to say, well, if people really wanted ethical food, why do they buy unethical food? argh 🤦♀️
