Interesting to have firefox to post this like they correctly support unicode but if you have a file with no encoding metadata (Content-Type header or <meta/>) it will not correctly detect Unicode but use something named like Windows-1252 (or "Western"), and no you can't set UTF-8 as fallback for multiple years now, which is weird as UTF-8 shares encodings with others.
