Random unsolicited suggestion: maybe consider providing alternatives to various aspects of Facebook as well as FB itself.

For example, listservs instead of groups, meetup-alternatives instead of FB Events, etc.

Facebook is leveraging its critical mass to get into all kinds of other spaces and many of those end up being somebody's One Necessary Thing. If you can provide a better alternative to that, they can give up on Facebook entirely.
