since Friday I have noticed a roughly 75% reduction in emails to me including spam.

This is really curious. My gut tells me it's a coincidence, but everything: email lists, political calls for donations, spam, and the few personal bits I might get, all deciding to cool it at the same time feels like a scene of foreshadowing doom in a movie
