Some friends have just found out their kid is autistic (about nine years old). They've got a good attitude about it, I think - they're very aware of how many top scientists seen like they might be somewhere on the spectrum, of how much we value the work some satiric folks can do. They're doing their reading too, though the only name they've mentioned is Temple Grandin, who I think is not universally popular as a spokesperson. Any suggestions I could pass on?
