I just reread a blog post recently recommended by @22 and wasn’t disappointed. The story about scurvy and lime juice (instead of lemon juice!), and the polar expeditions, and the limits of scientific progress – in human nature, in our social interactions, in the power of authority – all of it makes for great reading. As @22 said: «Perhaps the Maciej piece I most often think about is the one on scuvy vs lemon juice vs lime juice»
