Dear #MastoMind: Good, small, performant, reasonably-priced Linux desktop suggestions?

Principle uses: browsing, coding, data analysis, some audio/video bits. No gaming.

Would like to be reasonably future-proofed.

Looking at Intel's NUC units, something small *and quiet* would be nice. Intel CPUs themselves not so much (Spectre/Meltdown).

    Large and multi-display capable.

I vastly prefer to avoid Nvidia.

@dredmorbius i had the question for an older Hackintosh a few weeks back and i found the used HP Prodesk/Elitedesk (Small Form Factor) Office centric line great. It goes cheap on ebay and is kind of solid. Got near the Specs of a NUC (which was my estimated alternative). In the end i`ve got a HP Prodesk G3 i7 "used" for about 200$.
