Please, please do not consume amphetamines ("speed", MDMA, methamphetamine) if you're going to be around dogs anytime in the following 48 hours.

I once had a friend visit me who did MDMA two days earlier when I was taking care of two of the kindest and friendliest dogs I have ever known, and when he entered the room, they retreated to the back corner growling, snarling and bristling, it wasn't pretty.

Amphetamines make your body release adrenaline (the reason you're wide awake on speed) but a dog will interpret that as fight or flight mode and feel threatened.
