@qrs my friend worked on what was going to be the next Aibo. They killed the project just as her work was nearing fruition. This all back in 1999.
Now she runs the HI-SEAS program at U of Hawaii, training the prospective astronauts for what it might be like to walk on Mars.
Coincidence? I think not.
