I think the concept of "men" is intrinsically a problem. It reinforces a default that there is a structure of progress from baby > child > boy > man which is a dynamic that contains a conclusion that I think is false. As a young human I was scared of growing older cause there was an assumption that eventually I would become "a man" and that was revolting to me. The idea that we can redefine manhood to positive results seems bound to failure.
