The #German #tax authorities give out *2* instead of *1* ID number per person. The two numbers are the "tax number" and the "Personal ID".

I was just asked to provide my "tax ID" by my health insurance. Which one is it? They give a hint: it's the one with only digits and it doesn't start with a 0 and it's 11 digits long. This is true for both of them.
