It is always wise to choose to upset grammarians.

They are easy targets and have become inured to complaints.

They, their and the like will probably prevail. Just look how bring has almost universally replaced take. "Bring this to the office," said the English teacher.

Some of us notice, but will NOT jump in with a correction.
