Tapioca Pearl :heart_sp_ace:Curator just made a thread about this so I'm posting this Unlisted for now, but I did some quick maths. Hosting Mastodon.ART costs €65/month. That's about $80 USD. So if 80 people donated $1 USD/month to the Mastodon.ART Patreon or Liberapay, hosting would be free. Mastodon.ART has ~2.3k active users (1.5k joined in the past week!). So it would only take 0.03% of our active users donating $1 to make ART completely sustainable. Even before the new users, we'd only need donations from 1% of users.
