    No... Just no. Even if the entire Amazon burned down we would not lose 20% of our breathable oxygen. It is a total misunderstanding.

    The Amazon is responsible for 20% of all oxygen produced by land plants each year but we have enough oxygen for millions of years even if all photosynthesis in the world ceased today ( of course it would be a moot point because we'd starve)
