actually no i'm not. manners are part of the social contract and while there are circumstances where the demanding of manners (just like the demanding of respect) is in service of forcing you to acknowledge authority that you dont see as legitimate, for the vast vast majority of circumstances it's just the grease that keeps our social relations moving smoothly. and if you're not saying please and thank you to people who are giving you a service?? that ain't it chiefs.
