Brian ÓYears and Years was an interesting show. It wasn't perfect, but I think it did a really good job of capturing the current zeitgeist in the "western" world right now. There's definitely a lot in it that feels possible, and likely imminent -- none of it in a good way.
The ending was a bit of a hard left turn, though.
El Camino was kind of a let-down. It wasn't bad, but thus far Vince Gilligan has unfailingly shit gold, so I was expecting something more. I actually re-binged all 5 seasons of Breaking Bad to have it fresh in my mind, but it failed to live up to the quality of that show. Actually, having the characters' images fresh in my mind was a bit jarring, because now they're all 10 years older and 20 lbs heavier than they used to be -- except for Bryan Cranston, who looks exactly the same. It was also weird to see Robert Forster and then learn the next morning that he died.
