Can someone explain to me how Attack On Titan is being read as fascist? If anything, I've read it as heavily anti-fascist, anti-bourgeois, anti-imperialist, and overall anti-oppression. Hell, the core theme is "Everyone deserves freedom, because they were born into this world". The protagonists (who we are supposed to root for) are fighting against the fascists in this story. So I'm totally bewildered about where this completely opposite reading comes from.
