   On Sunday, Aug 25, I am helping with a #GNU #Linux installfest in the Boston MA area. There are some computers needing life restoration and good homes. I'll bring many distros, all suitable for hardware that is not quite as powerful as mine. *smiling* I hope I can share some of what I've learned from all this tinkering.

      So far, gave away a few things, but, there's plenty left! We have a couple folks here, trying to put #Ubuntu-Mate onto something that originally had Win 10. I do not foresee problems.

         "I don't foresee problems", famous last words. First, it was the keyboard. Next, it was the optical mouse... Oh, and, one time, it was the network... I had to leave early, so, don't know how the story ends.
