there are many reasons to hate the new joker movie but i feel like one that leaves me the most generally disgusted is that... i understand the joker as a character better than most of hollywood it seems, and i am far, far, FAR from a batfan

stop trying to explain the joker. he works best as the villain when he is an inexplicable force of nature. the bruce timm animated series got this right, folks.

don't reinvent the wheel. respect what makes the joker a compelling villain IT'S SIMPLE
