@ink_slinger it's all carbon emissions though CH4 has much more heat trapping capacity than CO2. But I think with livestock (cows, pigs or anything) all have more emissions because of the intensity of the operations. Large number of animals in closer together, all being finished on grain. There were probably more bison pre-settlement, but they were more evenly spread out and free range, not eating large quantities of grain.
