    Europeans: why don't Americans take the train to work?

    the problem is the train is always late (we've been waiting for the next one about 60 years so far...) so I can't get to work on time with it

      uuh, trains sucks in EU (at least West part of it), everytime I used them to cross France I get between 30 and 4 hours of lateness, regional ones are okayish depending on where you are. Tbh the only great public transport in EU is metro and tram (when there isn't too much cars).
