Could the modes described in #Meaningness (systematic, countercultural, subcultural, atomized, fluid) be applied to the network topologies of network software?

    1) Centralized networks = systematic mode
    2) Federated networks = countercultural mode
    3) Private networks (eg #BBS, mailing lists, web forums) = subcultural mode
    4) Distributed networks = atomized mode
    5) Hybrid federated/ distributed networks = fluid mode

Do any hybrid networks exist yet? Maybe #Zot with #NomadicIdentity?
