@augustus @mangeurdenuage I'm not familiar with the people or the story (I'm avoiding the news these days), but if the decedent was active in some cause and one of his cause's beneficiaries killed him, the father may feel a need to keep his son's "life work" alive, even to the extent of supporting the cause that cost his son's life. It's weird, I know, but it happens.
