Someone stole my xmas projector light last night. I can't say I'm entirely surprised, as petty theft is common in the neighbourhood, but I thought if I made it secure enough that you couldn't just grab it and run, I'd be OK.

But they took the time to melt the heavy duty zip ties I'd used to secure it to my railing. This probably only took 30 seconds, but that's often enough to eliminate crimes of opportunity.

I hope the person really needed the $5 or $10 they'll get at the pawn shop. 😑
