So, I sent to a text to a woman I had connected with on Hinge but had lost contact with over the last few weeks.
She returned my text by asking who I was and I said if you don't remember me, it's all good and I apologized for interrupting her evening. I'm classy like that.
She says she's sorry and she doesn't mean to be rude and I say it's totally fine and not big deal at all.
From here we talk for a bit just to refresh our memories and re-connect.

She said she deleted all of her dating apps and she didn't remember what I looked like, so I sent her a pic and she responds, 'oh yeah, you were the cute one'. Of course, I say thanks.
She asks why I'm hitting her up and I say I thought I saw her at the vet but I was hanging with a 'friend' so I didn't want it to be awkward, so I fell back. It took a bit to find her number again.
She says I should have said hi.

So she asks me what I've been up to and all that and we have a pleasant exchange and I feel like it's going well and said I might join her at the sports bar she is at, but it's late so we can always hook up tomorrow.
She agrees and we start doing the schedule dance and we end up just agreeing we'll check to see if the other is free for dinner in the evening.
About 5 minuets after that, I get a text saying she has to be honest with me.

She said she had actually given her phone to her friend, who I had been talking to for the entire conversation and she was impressed she kept it up for that long.
She said she didn't reach out because I *seemed* ambivalent and that's why we never hooked up. She said if she still wanted to hang, she would be free in the afternoon.
I said I thought what she did was very dishonest and not cool at all and I said don't want to see her at all.
I deleted all of her info.
