Employer: I’ve had dozens of interviews but I *still* can’t find the right candidate.
Me: Is that so?
Employer: They don’t have enough experience, haven’t held the right position, and are missing the right skills.
So the position is vacant for weeks or months because they’re waiting for “perfect.”
But here’s the thing: perfect doesn’t exist.
You’ll *never* find a candidate who checks every box.
And even if you do, they might be a terrible culture fit.
The good news: You don’t really *want* perfect.
You want someone who’s willing to work hard. Who’s hungry to learn. Who finds ways to bring value to the company.
So while you’re focusing on “perfect,” you're wasting hundreds of hours of not just your time but candidates’ time.
You’re holding your business back while people out there need jobs to feed their families.
And it’s not okay.
Because the truth is—
You’re not hiring a resume.
You’re hiring an entire person.
And they’re a lot more than what you see on paper.
