Oh, noes! Does this mean your $EMPLOYER was bought out by #Disney and your voice will be heard on DisneyPlus?

you mean just because I am not rah, rah one specific Netflix show? I am bummed about them putting off the second season of The Witcher, but I would be more bummed if they were risking people's health.

The Netflix dump and leave OSS strategy is annoying, but Disney has a well-documented monopolist strategy regarding IP. Apparently, they did just open source some stuff, so maybe they are coming around on that.

Anyway, of the major players in the space, Netflix is probably the best from an ethical standpoint, but I would certainly be curious to hear of others.

One thing that is nice about Netflix is that we can just ask for it using our remote. I suspect this would not be the case for smaller players.

@musicman No, I did not even know "Tiger King" was a Netflix show. It sounded like you were personally involved with a local play or cartoon, so I was quipping about the resemblance to Lion King.

Netflix’s 'Tiger King' is the apotheosis of extreme storytelling: The more unfathomable and ethically dubious, the better.

@musicman Yeah, I'm definitely not missing anything by not having a subscription to any streaming service. My TV only exists because of the #PS4 and the #Switch.

There have been plenty of Netflix originals I have enjoyed, but if it were just me, I certainly wouldn't have an account.
