Stranger Things is like an 80s flashback with supernatural shit going on. Guess thatโs appealing but not to me.

@PhoneBoy You could say that about pretty much any show that is set in a different decade.
It just being an "80s flashback" and "supernatural":is extremely simplistic given, I assume, you've only seen the trailer?
How can you give an honest opinion on anything without seeing, at least, some of the story and character development?

@Ardral I didnโt notice you talking about the show. Yes, I actually watched an entire episode (first episode of Season 2, I think). I even heard a podcast talking about how they made the theme music (which Iโll admit is cool).
Keep in mind when it comes to TV or movies, Iโm like Mikey. I pretty much hate everything. ๐

@PhoneBoy To be honest, I probably wouldn't have liked it starting out on season two.
There's no real backstory to what leads up to that point.
The brief summary of season one wouldn't be enough to fully understand what happened.

@Ardral my viewing of it was more accidental than planned. My son attempted to explain the backstory to me.
Maybe it would like it if I started at the beginning but that would require dedicating the time to watch it, which Iโm not currently inclined to do.

Anyway, not that any of this is important.

@Ardral true. Most things on the telescreens (even the few things I like) aren't that important.

@PhoneBoy @Ardral The only thing sem-negative I have to say about Stranger Things is that it has a season two. I felt the ending of season one was good enough. I feel this way (doubly so) about Westworld. I was actually shocked when I heard that they would have a season two of it. I don't see the point. It was a nearly perfect show IMO.

@HiroProtagonist It will be interesting to see what they do in the second season of Westworld. They're definitely taking their time, which I personally don't mind.

Yeah I agree on that.
Season two is good but it doesn't touch season one.
I can't see how they can get a third season out of these characters.

@PhoneBoy I assume this post was in response to my post last night on Stranger Things?
I don't care if someone else doesn't like it. I simply made a case for it having significantly better writing and character development the the new, unoriginal, Star Trek.
Why are you even making a thing out of it?
