flapflap (awg@pl.smuglo.li)'s status on Saturday, 18-Apr-2020 18:11:17 EDT flapflap 3rd calendar-year eagles are a pain. In most field conditions, they'd be sensibly identified as 2nd calendar-year individuals (i.e., juvenile birds after their first winter), as the evident moult can be subtle especially when compounded by a year's wear & tear on otherwise first generation feathers.
