    My #Star_Trek piece:

I watched reruns of ST:TOS (the original series) for many years. I enjoyed it immensely. I will never be a Trekkie. I just like the show.

I saw an occasional ST:TNG or ST:DS9 episode if I lingered while dropping off #sonOne after a visit, but by that time, I had no TV, so other than probably 5 the next generation and probably 2 deep space nine episodes, I never saw them.

I have never seen any episodes of any other ST series.

The original ST movies were awful garbage. I enjoyed ST:Generations (the movie in which Capt Kirk dies), but the ones that preceded it were not good. The movie with the whale was so fake that it felt like "hey, we're running out of money, let's pump the franchise again to refill our accounts".

I saw the first JJ Abrams Star Trek movie. I actually enjoyed it. I can see why Trekkies hated it, but the earlier movies were chasing off normies. This movie made it possible for regular people to enjoy Star Trek again. That said, I have not seen any later ST movies.

I like ST, but I'm not ever going to be obsessed with it.

I enjoyed Star Trek IV. I too am not a Trekkie. I don't know that I am that much of a fan of anything. We went on a GOT tour in Iceland, but we own no GOT-themeed merchandise.
