   sci-fi plot idea: with "folding space" being a common trope for FTL in fiction, there's got to be at least one elder/precursor/old species that got bored and uses their phenomenal power to make galaxy origami
   
   "oh, that galaxy? yeah, we folded that into a duck, it's pretty cool"
